*Totally not, I will not let the former President have her medical treatment abroad. As what I have learned from the news, we also have best orthopedic surgeons who can attend to Arroyo's ailment. So why would they bother going to other country. Besides, Pres. Aquino already offered them a free treatment. And if necessary bring here additional orthopedic surgeons from abroad. But they refused it. We cannot blame the government for doing such actions since the couple is facing several legal suits.
*Yes, as stated by the Supreme Court the DOJ violated the TRO issued by the SC.

YES,BECAUSE IT IS A HUMANITARIAN GESTURE ON THE PART OF THE GOVERNMENT FOR ALLOWING FORMER PRESIDENT TO GO ABROAD FOR HER MEDICAL NEEDS. EVEN IF THE FORMER PRESIDENT FOUND GUILTY SHE CAN'T SERVE HER SENTENCE DUE TO HER MEDICAL PROBLEMS, SO IN MY OPINION THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FOLLOW THE TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER.

*As a Filipino citizen, I won't let former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to board the plane and go abroad knowing that she still has a case going on. As we all know, the Former President is facing the case, graft and corruption. Although, the decision has not yet given. We, the Filipino people can clearly see what happened to the Philippines when she served to us for 9 years. Therefore, we should not tolerate her to leave her mess ad pay for her price. Instead, we should learn from our past and be a better decision-maker.

*Definitely not, De Lima didn't violate any actions for releasing the temporary restraining order. Former President Gloria Arroyo is a very influential and powerful public figure, she can go abroad anytime and leave the poverty or filipino people she created, but, De Lima was appointed to by President Noynoy Aquino to responsibly do her part. The rule of law must prevail, no one is excused.

NO, what's the point of having her medications abroad when she can have it here? Were she can have all her expenses paid by the government.Plus the inconsistency of her hospital list as to where she would like to be treated.
And foremost what is necessary is to be treated immediately if necessary? She's not even in a critical state plus the fact that she's still on a trial. Why is it so timely?I do not intend to think ill of her intentions after all she is our former president but logically and analytically it follows.

* YES, the Department of Justice violated the Temporary Restraining Order issued by the Supreme Court.

*Yes! Ok!

No. The mindset of most filipinos as mine too is that- if she take abroad for her treatment there is a possibility that she would leave all her obligations especially the case that DOJ currently investigating about the past presidential election where she was elected that several witnesses and evidences already showed that there were an incongruities fraud actions in counting of votes to several provinces. And as to show that she's not guilty of all accusations being thrown to her she should stay here in Philippines, get treated and face all the allegations that somehow misinterpreted/ misunderstood by the government and the public. The truth shall prevail as the law says...

Yes.

"Yes, she is a human being and regardless of what she did, she deserves her human rights. She had unsuccessful operation before if she could seek for more effective medical treatment abroad then she should go, that is what normal people would do. As to all her allegations, i think she won't be able to run from it. There are several conditions that was given by the Supreme Court as she leave the country and if she violated, our government will surely do something about it. Furthermore, she has to be well to face all the allegations to her".

Do you think the Department of Justice violated the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court?

"Yes, definitely, because the Supreme Court already issued it so the Department of Justice must comply to it."

-No, because I think former President Arroyo only use her illness to escape all her on-going cases and also I think that her illness can treat here in our country so, she don't need to go abroad for a medical treatment.

-I think the DOJ didn't violate the TRO issued by the supreme court because De Lima said that they didn't receive the TRO, De Lima is doing her duties that's why she not allow former President Arroyo and her husband to escape the country without proper process.

*Definitely no! Because GMA had so many different cases to face here in the Philippines and she has to be responsible of what she was done on her past 6 years of being president. Besides, we also have so many professional surgeons here in the Philippines so there are no reasons of going to other country for her treatment. We can also bring here some professional surgeons from abroad if it is necessary. In my opinion, she was only using her illness to escape from the different cases she was facing so that I won't let GMA have her medical treatment in other country, otherwise, here in our country.

*YES, based on the news.

Yes, I think the DOJ have violated the TRO issued by the supreme court, because Secretary Delima is only part of the Legislative government. Meaning to say, she should respect the decision made by the SUPREME court.

Yes,It is a democratic country. She(former President Arroyo) deserves to have her medical treatment abroad. Although, the couple (former President GMA and former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo) are being investigated for alleged corruption and electoral fraud. They are still free to exercise their constitutional rights. I dont think they can escape from it. But if De Lima still not convinced, she can provide reliable person who will accompany the Arroyos to monitor their actions and to assure their return in the country.

On my part, she actually deserves to have treatment abroad. Everybody has the right to do that. She is sick and she needs treatment badly. After all she would be the one to have burdens when she left the country and never go back. She already became the president of the Philippines and she knew enough what is the right thing to do. Its her choice if she would like to be more degraded by the people who knew her.

And i think the DOJ must give respect to the purpose of the trip rather than a very political reason of letting her not leave the country. Kung mkaalis sya at mkapagpagamot, its enough reason for them to the action kun ayw bumalik ni GMA.

For me, I will let Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to leave the country. Sa nakikita ko, gusto niyang magpagamot sa ibang bansa not for the reason na tatakas siya or iiwas sa kaso. Here in our country, its not a big thing na marami ngang specialists na kaya siyang gamutin. I think she wants to leave the country for the reason na sa ibang bansa ay magkakaroon siya ng peace of mind. Its just like, Physically healing her. But Emotionally killing her.

Another, as a concern citizen bakit di na lang tayo magfocus sa economic problem natin. Bakit ba masyado tayong nagfofocus sa issue about CGMA?

Sa tingin ko, there's no need for her to go abroad para lang magpagamot. I mean, government na mismo ang nag-offer sa kanya ng free treatment. it simply means na ang government ay willing na tulungan siya to better her condition. On second thought, bakit sa ibang bansa pa niya gusto gawin yung surgery, kung sa Pilipinas naman ay mapupunan na yung pangangilangan niya. it looks like she has other agenda for doing it. bakit pinipilit niya yung gusto niya. You know what I mean!

For me, I will not allow the former president, Mrs. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, to take her medication abroad for the reason that there are still cases that she needs to face. We all know that the best doctors are found in abroad but based from what I heard on the news that our president, Pres. Noynoy Aquino, is willing to get the best doctors with the specialization on her ailment to come here in the Philippines to do the medication/operation and that the administration will be the responsible for the payment or the expenses.

Based on my opinion, the government are doing the right thing regarding Mrs. Arroyo's issue. Its not that we are being too selfish or inconsiderate but its just that she have to face the result of what she have done. In addition, why does she insists to go abroad if the doctors from abroad will come here to do her medication. We, Filipinos, are kind and considerate in nature but we also have to be practical and certain on what decisions we think will result better. In the case of Mrs. Arroyo, I think we should remember the effects of her doings on her past administration to our economy. There are times that we should establish "kamay na bakal" in a sense that we should not be too considerate all the time.

I know I should care about these types of things but the thing is, I am not the type of person who enjoys these things.

All I know is that Filipinos can be very good in their professions, like surgeons. Gov. Arroyo don't have to leave the country, if she can't trust her own kind, she should take Mr. Pres. Aquino's offer or die. She can't blame others because it is her fault why they cannot trust her to leave the country. Plus she has a lot to pay(in justice). As I recall, going abroad of politicians with court cases is their technique or refuge
from those cases and further slowing down the movement of these such cases.

*Maybe, that is why they called it SUPREME COURT
- or she(sec. Delima) really wanted badly that the former pres. not to leave, that's why she refused it..

Yes, it's fine with me na umalis sya ng bansa dahil nga karapatan nya naman yun. Arroyo. Another thing, hindi na naman daw life threatening yung condition nya. According to recent news, sabi naman daw ng doctors nya, she will be ok in 6 months. And bakit kaylangan marami yung bansa na gusto nyang puntahan? magpapakonsulta sya sa lahat ng bansang iyon?(parang gusto pa nya mag around the world trip.)

Yes, the DOJ violated the TRO issued by the Supreme Court. Arroyo.

* I will not let the former president, Gloria Arroyo to leave the country for her medications. Pres. Benigno Aquino offered her for the assistance for her medications that he will get doctors from abroad to go here in the Philippines for her treatment but she refuses. Besides, she has legal obligations here that she needs to face. It just that people in justice follows the law that they are implemented. Its just sad when the very person elected to execute our laws is the first person to violate them. *Yes, I think DOJ violated the TRO issued by the Supreme Court.

NO! I will not let our former President to travel abroad to seek treatment for her. Because the former first couple are being investigated for alleged corruption and electoral fraud and she might never return because of the corruption investigation and the formal charges President Aquino expected would be filed against her by the end of the year. Besides, we have great orthopedic surgeons here that can cure former President illness and President Aquino offered already free treatment for her. There's no need for her to travel unless she has hidden agenda why she wants to.

YES, the Department of Justice violated the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court.

if she doesn't mean to escape from the government why did she not accept the offer from the government to shoulder her medication and the government will be the one to look for the best surgeon that she needed?

in accordance to the TRO which was released by the supreme court, justice secretary Leila De lima at some point violated the released order. how? as stated in the newspaper the TRO should be immediately implemented.

*I am on a 50:50 opinion. Given that the former President is under corruption investigation but still we have the so called "human rights" and everyone else should claim for that. Nagkataon nga lang na sumabay yung sakit niya sa on going investigation, that's why the people keep on saying negative comments about the ex-president especially the Aquino Administration ( But I am not against the Aquino Administration) Anyway, President Aquino offered free medical treatment but unfortunately, the ex-president refused the said offer so another thought pop-out. Still I am in-between going abroad for medical purpose (human rights!) or leaving the country forever.

*Yes because SC is the final arbiter.

YES,..she is also a human and we should give her right to go to abroad for medical treatment with guards to look at her so that she will not escape from anomalies she did.,,WHAT IF YOU ARE IN ARROYO'S SITUATION WHAT WILL YOU FEEL??? and if we Filipinos let her stay here in our country she might be an AWARD WINNING DRAMA QUEEN of her disease and she will use this as an excuse..why not let her to go abroad for medical treatment and after that she will face her case and if ever arroyo will escape it is our government faults at all because they let arroyo escape because i believe IF YOU LET PERSON GO SHE MIGHT GO OR NOT BUT IF YOU WILL NOT LET A PERSON GO WHETHER SHE LIKE IT OR NOT SHE WILL NOT GO and really agree that EVEN HOW BAD ARROYO IS SHE HAS ALSO A RIGHTS & ALL OF US DESERVE OUR RIGHTS EVEN HOW GOOD OR BAD PERSON US...WE WILL BE A CRIMINAL IN THE EYE OF GOD IF WE LET HIS CREATURE DIE EVEN IF THERE's A SOLUTION DON't LET EVIL PUSH US TO THE LiMIT...and i think this not about APES ESCAPE it is about our GOVERNMENT ACTING APES on how they will handle a situation like this...THIS IS MY OWN OPINION AND NEVER IGNORE ME WITH THIS STATEMENT(to all readers):))

No! I would not let Gloria Arroyo to have her medical treatment abroad.Because, first a group of doctors already said that the treatment can be done here at the Philippines, second we all know that former president GMA is facing different cases here at our country, so there is a possibility that she will use that opportunity to leave all her obligation.

Yes,DOJ violated the TRO issued by the Supreme Court.

Even the government offered her a free traetment but still she insists na gusto niya pumunta abroad. So parang lumalabas na may gusto siyang takasan or whatever dito sa Philippines. Napaghahalata na guilty siya. And may possibility na hindi na siya bumalik kung matuloy man yung pag-alis niya.

No. President Noynoy appointed De Lima as the secretary of DOJ because he believes that De Lima is capable of doing her tasks. She is doing what she is supposed to do.

bakit kaylangan pa nyang umalis ng bansa at dun magpagamot kung ou very own filipino doctors can do that for her, para bang tinatakasan nya ang mga responsibilidad nea d2 sa banse. There are many issues involving her name right now, and speculations that if she leave the country instead of having her medication, she will go to one country to another.but then the DOJ VIOLATED THE TRO ISSUED BY THE SC.

*I would not let the former President, Gloria Arroyo to go abroad just to have her medical treatment there because we don't know if she would either come back or not right after that medication. There is greater possibility that she would intend not to come back here in the Philippines and escape for she as well as her family faced a lot of legal cases.

*For me, Justice Secretary Leila Delima has violated the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court. The fact that the power of the Supreme Court is much higher than the Department of Justice, the fact that they (Dept. of Justice) should have to respect those decisions.

President Noynoy said that he cannot allow such actions cause the former president violated so many laws during her term. But the things is, is he doing it because he hates her personally or he indeed cares for our country? But if the government is really firm about their decision not to allow Mrs. Arroyo to leave then they should do something about it. Instead of bragging this and that, pointing out people because they are GMA's appointees and all that jazz.

I just don't like how PNoy treated GMA from the very start. And it makes me worry that he does it for his personal reason and not for his countrymen.

Maybe the DOJ can be selfish because they want to have a fair for each of us. And they think that no is excuse pag BATAS n ang pinaguusapan.

I wont let former Pres. Arroyo to have her medical treatment abroad.I presume that it is just one of her tricks to escape all her legal cases filed in the court and If she really does need to be treated, Philippines have different hospitals that offers a world class medical expertise.

The DOJ definitely violated the TRO but i think it is for the sake of the Filipino People who until now, waiting for the truth to come out.

Yes, the government shall consider the health of the former president, regardless of her bad profile to be treated fairly in any matter that will lead her out from danger. Yet, I think that the DOJ just did everything to assure that the former president GMA cannot escape from her responsibilities to her country and also to the Filipino people. I have no idea if the DOJ has any violation regarding to the non implementation of the SC's order but as stated by Atty. Lacierda, a constitutionalist, the government does'nt violated anything.

We noticed that every time the Arroyos are called to appear in congressional hearings, they suddenly become sick. But then they are free to exercise their constitutional rights. Arroyo has the right to be allowed to go abroad to seek medical treatment, but this should be secure by the state’s right and duty to ensure that the justice system works credibly and effectively. In this complicated issue that the former president Arroyo is now acts as model of human rights, our government should study carefully the proper actions to be done before the Philippine governments face a constitutional crisis.

No, I won’t let her leave the country even if it is for medical purposes.
According to the news, Mount Elizabeth which is located at Singapore, where she wants to be treated is just like St. Luke’s Medical Center here in the Philippines so why for medical treatment abroad if St. Luke’s Doctors can treat her illness.
Another thing is that there is a possibility of not coming back in our country if the government let her leaved. If that happens, another issue will come out. As a Filipino, we should remember the anomalies that happened in her term. Let’s faced the fact that even if she appeared pitiful, she’s still have obligation in our law and to Filipinos.
For me, she just wanted to appear pitiful in front of many people so they will get pity of her. So bad.

-yes of course, the former president has the right to choose whether where country she wants to go especially on her situation.. besides, our government can request a TRO or give her a memorandum of agreement stating that; she only have a limited span of time to have her medical treatment abroad...

-The court ruled in her favor, saying that she was free to go. But the government ignored the court’s ruling and officials turned her and her husband away at the airport, where she arrived in a wheelchair and wearing a head and neck brace.-

and also, they filed an invalid charges to block her traveling abroad.. they violating human rights!

definitely not, even though she is sick it doesn't mean that she need to go somewhere else just to get her medication. It only shows that she don't really believe to her own nation and its own power in terms of medical services and she must not forget that she is one of the former president of the Philippines and now a congresswoman so as a part of her responsibility she must show nationalism for her country and for her own people that somewhat believes in her and as a model of this country.
