November 27: National Day for Mourning

Nakikiisa ang Polytechnic University of the Philippines sa pambansang pagdadalamhati ng sambayanan hinggil sa trahedya sa Mindanao. Thus, Pres. Guevarra has announced yesterday the suspension of classes at the university on November 27.

"Advisory: PUP, through its President, DR. DANTE G. GUEVARRA condemns the mass killing in Maguindanao. He says this is a big blow to our existence as a free, peace loving and democratic nation. He is therefore declaring tomorrow, November 27, 2009 as a DAY OF MOURNING in PUP.

To have time to contemplate and offer prayers for the souls of those who died and for the whole country, he is declaring TOMORROW, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2009 as a NO CLASSES DAY for its 62,000-strong studentry IN ALL ITS CAMPUSES - 16 PROVINCIAL AND 4 MANILA CAMPUSES. - www.pup.edu.ph"

My deepest condolences and prayers to all the victims of this horrendous tragedy. .
